XK8 Seat Repair

We recently moved into our new home and the XK8 started acting up and all my tools were in a Pod awaiting the building of my garage. So I elected to make the long awaited one of many cosmetic repairs.

I ordered a leather repair kit along with the matching paint for my interior from Magic Mender out of California.  As you can see in the 3 photos both the drivers and passenger seats were badly worn along with the bolsters.

The kit came with all you needed to make the repairs and it was not difficult to do.  I first cleaned the surface with the provided cleaner and cut off any loose ends that were sticking out and up.  I then applied the repair compound then the paint.  I will attach the instructions for better clarification.

The repaired seat and bolster photos were taken well after the repair so you are seeing  the results after they have been used.  If you elect to make repairs be sure you have the correct color codes for your car.
